Metallic Materials Failure Analysis

This course presents the main failure mechanisms identified for metallic materials – BRITTLE FRACTURE, DUCTILE FRACTURE, FATIGUE, CORROSION, CREEP and WEAR, and clarifies the way it is possible to identify the evidences of the mechanisms, as well as some typical mistakes during failure evaluation.

Mechanical and metallographical tests are described showing every kind of information that is available to help in the failure investigation.

Actual failures illustrate the several failure mechanisms in a course that is applied during 7 hours in a single day for engineers and technicians.
