TECMETAL is an engineering technical consulting company that is compromised to offer high tech solutions in materials concerns.
Existing since 1991 the company supports the clients in materials selection, specification and qualification of raw materials and manufacturing processes, failure analysis; training as well as any development of materials, products or fabrication processes and procedures, specially welding.
Located in Rio de Janeiro, TECMETAL has its own team of specialists, full laboratorial infrastructure and space for workshop and training.
We offer consulting services for short or long time projects, material analysis in laboratory and in field, equipment inspection and integrity assessment.
We are about 20 people working together to assure that our clients are satisfied concerning the technical information level supplied, based on critical analysis of material testing results.
In our labs we have qualified technicians to conduct the sampling and to perform the tests, based on qualified and validated procedures. Also any testing information is analyzed previously to be reported, by qualified engineers.
Our commercial person is concerned in understanding the best cost/benefit relation for our clients, based on our engineers support in developing quotations.
Our supporting team works to maintain a clean and nice ambient.
Also we weld and overlay production parts using ARC SPECIALTIES equipment. We represent ARC SPECIALTIES in Brazil offering specialized training in the equipment, as well as we are able to qualify procedures.
Paulo Roberto Emygdio is TECMETAL founding partner and is the President Director since 1991.
Brazilian, from Rio de Janeiro, Paulo is a Metallurgical/Material Engineer graduated in 1983 at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). Got the Master degree in 1986 and Doctor degree at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ/COPPE) in 1996, respectively working on “Effect of Chemical Composition on the Dynamic Strain Ageing of Stainless Steel” and “Metallurgical Characterization of Heat Resistant Steel Welded Joint in Centrifugal Casting Tubes for High Temperatures Application”.
Annelise Zeemann is TECMETAL founding partner and has the position of Technical Director since 2009, when the company was certified.
Brazilian, from Rio de Janeiro, Annelise is a Mechanical Engineer graduated in 1985 at the Estadual University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). Got the Master degree in 1991 and Doctor degree at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ/COPPE) in 2001, respectively working on “Microstructural Toughness Relationship for Thick Plates Joints Welded by SAW using High Heat Input” and “Microstructural Evolution of Nickel Superalloys for Turbine Blades”.
Guilherme Emygdio – know as Guil – works at TECMETAL since 2010, and also supports the ARC SPECIALTIES company representation.
Brazilian, from Rio de Janeiro, was graduated in Materials Engineering in 2012 at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), had lessons on the Post Graduation Welding Engineer Course at SENAI RJ and is working to obtain the Master degree at UFRJ/COPPE, at the Corrosion Area. Guil is also a member of NACE International.
Guil works in the development of welding procedures, as well as analyzing failures and supporting field inspection.
Also, supports the ARC SPECIALTIES company representation.
